Hosting
The hosting services we use serve to provide the following services: infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage space and database services, security services, and technical maintenance services, which we use to operate this online service. We, or rather our hosting provider, process inventory data, contact data, content data, contract data, usage data, metadata, and communication data of customers, interested parties, and visitors to this website based on our legitimate interests in the efficient and secure provision of this website in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 28 GDPR.
Collection of access data and log files
We, or rather our hosting provider, collect data about every access to the server on which this service is located (so-called server log files) based on our legitimate interests within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Access data includes the name of the accessed website, the file, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, the notification of successful access, the browser type and version, the user's operating system, the referrer URL (the previously visited page), the IP address, and the requesting provider.
Log file information is stored for security reasons (e.g., to investigate misuse or fraud) for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted. Data whose further retention is required for evidentiary purposes is exempt from deletion until the respective incident has been finally resolved.
Purpose of data processing
The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website. However, we reserve the right to subsequently review the server log files if there are concrete indications of illegal use.
Our website is stored by a hosting service provider who provides us with infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage space and database services, security services, and technical maintenance services, and with whom we have concluded a data processing agreement. The data is processed for the purpose of ensuring the operational readiness of our website, in which we have a legitimate interest. In this regard, we refer to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. In addition, server log file data may also be collected by third parties.
Storage of your data
Unless a different storage period is stated above, we store the data for as long as it is necessary for its intended purpose and as long as statutory retention periods apply. According to legal requirements, data is stored for 6 years in accordance with Section 257 (1) of the German Commercial Code (HGB) (commercial books, inventories, opening balance sheets, annual financial statements, commercial letters, accounting documents, etc.) and for 10 years in accordance with Section 147 (1) of the German Tax Code (AO) (books, records, management reports, accounting documents, commercial and business letters, documents relevant for taxation, etc.).
After the retention period has expired, the corresponding data will be routinely deleted unless it is no longer required to fulfill or initiate a contract and/or we no longer have a legitimate interest in continuing to store it.
